Aethro’s Stargate System – Build, Connect, and Travel Instantly!
Want to set up fast, immersive teleportation across Aethro? Our Stargate System lets you create custom gates to travel between locations, worlds, and even servers! With multiple gate types, customizable networks, and special features, you can tailor your travel system to fit your needs.
🚪 How to Build a Gate
Aethro offers three default gate types, all using the classic Nether portal frame:
🟪 Obsidian Gate – Standard teleportation.
🟩 End Brick Gate – A mysterious, sturdy design.
🔹 Sea Lantern Gate – The only gate usable underwater!
To activate your gate, place a sign on one of the two center blocks inside the frame. Want more flexibility? Custom gate layouts are also supported!

📜 Setting Up Your Gate Sign
To create a fully functional gate, add the following details to the sign:
🔹 Line 1 – Gate Name (Max 13 characters)
🔹 Line 2 (Optional) – Destination Name (For fixed gates only, max 13 characters)
🔹 Line 3 (Optional) – Network Name (Gates within the same network can connect)
🔹 Line 4 (Optional) – Gate Options (Use one or more of the letters below)
📌 Gate Options:
• A – Always-on fixed gate
• H – Hidden gate (only visible to the creator or players with special permission)
• P – Private gate (only you can use it)
• F – Free gate (no teleportation cost)
• B – Backwards-facing exit
• S – Shows an always-on gate in the network list
• N – Hides the network name
• R – Random exit location every time you enter
• I – Silent teleport (no chat messages)
• E – No-sign fixed gate (for admin-set locations)
✨ Pro Tip: Color codes (&[0-9a-f]) don’t count toward the character limit, so you can make stylish, colorful gate names!
🌐 Gate Networks – Organize Your Travel System
All gates belong to a network that determines which portals can connect.
✅ Default Network: "central" (all new gates start here)
✅ Custom Networks: Specify a network on Line 3 of your sign.
✅ Same-Network Travel: Gates on the same network can see and connect to each other—even across worlds!
✅ Bungee Gates: To teleport between servers, set the network name to the server’s /servers list name.
🔗 Fixed Gates – Direct One-Way Travel
Want a gate that always leads to the same place? Fixed Gates are the solution!
🔹 Set a Destination – Add the target gate’s name to Line 2 of your sign.
🔹 One-Way Travel – Normal gates can’t open a portal to a fixed gate, but fixed gates can link to normal gates.
🔹 Always Open Option – Use “A” on Line 4 to keep the gate permanently active.
🔹 Bungee Compatibility – All bungee gates are automatically fixed gates for seamless server-to-server travel.
🔒 Hidden Gates – Keep Your Travel Routes Secret
Need a private teleportation network? Hidden Gates allow only certain players to see and access them.
👀 Who Can See Hidden Gates?
✅ Gate Creator
✅ Players with special permissions (stargate.hidden)
🔹 Make a Gate Hidden – Add “H” on Line 4 of the sign.
🔹 Secret Travel – Hidden gates only appear on the destination list for authorized players.
