Joining the Server - Shadows of Aethro

Welcome to Shadows of Aethro! This guide will walk you through everything you need to join the server and start your journey.

Step 1: Join the Aethro Discord All major server updates, support tickets, and community discussions happen in our Discord Server. You must be in Discord to access full support and server updates.

Step 2: Install the Modpack Our server runs on a custom Forge modpack.

Options for Installation:

• CurseForge App (Recommended)

  1. Download the CurseForge App.

  2. Search for "Shadows of Aethro".

  3. Install and launch it through the app.

• Manual Download

  1. Go to aethro.net/files

  2. Download the modpack zip.

  3. Install it into your Forge mods folder manually.

Minimum Requirements

• 64-bit OS

• 8GB RAM minimum (12GB recommended)

• Java 17 or higher

• Forge version compatible with modpack (see install notes)

Step 3: Add the Server IP Once installed, launch the game and add the server IP: mc.aethro.net:25567 or if you use the curse forge pack, it should have it auto installed.

Step 4: Read the Rules Before joining, read the Rules & Expectations page. Violating rules can result in a ban with no warning.

Step 5: Start Your Journey There’s no whitelist or application. Once your game is set up, join and begin. You can:

• Start a colony

• Claim your own land and build from scratch

• Team up with others

• Explore the modded world and complete achievements
